Who We Are
We are part of Big Marlin Fishing Charters Punta Cana a locally established boat company with over 10 years of experience in deep sea fishing and private ocean trips in the Dominican Republic. We are a local boat operator based in Punta Cana, specializing in private ocean experiences for small groups. Although our background comes from professional deep sea fishing charters, today we focus on a more flexible service private boat trips designed for guests who want to enjoy the Caribbean Sea in a relaxed and personal way.
We operate directly on the water, not as a booking agency or middleman. Every trip is handled by an experienced local captain with real knowledge of Punta Cana’s coastline, conditions, and safe cruising areas. Our approach is simple: small groups, private atmosphere, and a direct connection with the ocean.
At the core of our operation is our lead captain, Capt. Yustas Fortuna, who has spent years working professionally in deep sea fishing and private boat charters in Punta Cana. His hands-on experience on the water ensures that every trip is guided with real local knowledge, safety awareness, and a deep understanding of Caribbean waters.
What We Do
We provide private boat experiences in Punta Cana for groups of up to 10 guests. Our main experience includes a coastal cruise along the Punta Cana shoreline, a stop in a calm snorkeling area, and a relaxed time on board with drinks included. We do not focus on large party crowds or structured entertainment programs. Instead, we offer a simple, private and flexible way to enjoy the ocean.
At the same time, we continue to operate dedicated deep sea fishing trips based on years of local experience, giving guests the option to choose between fishing or a more relaxed cruising experience. Everything we offer is based on real operational experience at sea not third-party listings or reselling. Everything we offer is focused on safety, simplicity, and delivering real ocean experiences without overcrowding or mass tourism approaches.
Our Story
Our story started with fishing. For over a decade, we have been working in deep sea fishing in Punta Cana, spending thousands of hours on the water and building deep knowledge of local marine conditions. Over time, we saw that many visitors were not only interested in fishing, but also in a simple way to enjoy the ocean with friends and family without crowds, noise, or large tour groups.
That’s how our private party boat experience was created. It grew naturally from our fishing operations, using the same boats, captains and local expertise but adapted for a different type of guest experience. Today, we continue to operate both fishing and private boat trips side by side.
